Task 1: Tell us: What is the mother of all writerly sins in your book (tropes, grammar mistakes, telling instead of showing, etc.)?
I mentioned in the comments on TA's post that my mother of all writerly sins matched one of hers - boring me. I can put up with a lot in books as long as they're making me feel something. But if I'm utterly bored by the book? I'm going to drop it and pick something else up. Boredom is my number one reason for a book becoming a DNF. I know this one's completely subjective. There's not a list of reasons why a book ends up boring me that I can point to. Some books just don't click with me. And when that happens, I ditch the book and move on to the next one.
