The Starters series is one where you have to be willing to suspend your belief a bit. The first book was entertaining enough that I didn't have problems doing that. This one though, I did. The series is only two books long so everything had to get wrapped up here. And it did wrap things up. However, I felt like the story was far too rushed, particularly near the end. The last few chapters felt like they were jumping from one thing to another in an attempt to wrap everything up, and it didn't really flow well. Plot points were rushed through, such as a big betrayal being suddenly revealed and then quickly forgiven with the consequences being brushed over.
While the story wrapped everything up, the pace was just too fast and made for a rather disappointing finish to the series.
